The iPhone 16 uses a 6.1-inch OLED display. When OLED panels are damaged they often show green or purple lines, black spots that spread, or a screen that stays dark while the phone still rings. Keeping Face ID working

Face ID on the iPhone 16 relies on sensors in the top of the screen area that are paired to the phone's logic board.
